Early Start Sushi Roller & Delivery Driver

Sushi To You, the Fraser Coasts Original & Best Sushi is seeking an enthusiastic self starting senior person to learn all aspects of rolling and preparing sushi and to perform daily wholesale deliveries Monday to Friday on a permanent but Casual Basis. 

Candidates able to demonstrate an interest or experience in the Hospitality Industry are welcome to apply.  Any experience rolling sushi in a commercial environment would be advantageous however all training will be provided on the job.  This position may also suit someone seeking a complete career change or a senior person looking to fill in their mornings.

Following is a list of criteria and information on how to apply for this rewarding and exciting position.  The successful candidate:

  • Will receive Sushi & Delivery training on the job;

    • Must be able to start at 5:30am Monday to Friday with no pre-existing commitments during this period of the day;

      • Early starts could change to as early as 4am at some point down the track;

  • Must be a Senior (25yr old + due to vehicle insurance requirements);

  • Must be able to drive a small manual transmission delivery van;

  • [IMPORTANT] The successful candidate MUST be able to demonstrate a 5 year clean driving record (will be required to supply a QLD Transport Traffic History Report & License History Report for past 10 years) with none of the following offences in the past 10 years:

    • Drink Driving Related Offences

    • Speeding Related Offences of more than 15km/ph above the speed limit

    • Seat Belt Related Offences

    • Road Rage type offences

    • Using a Mobile Phone or other similar electronic device whilst driving;

    • Or any other offences resulting in a Fine of more than $150, Loss of 2 or more Demerit Points or Criminal convictions recorded;

  • No Public Holiday or weekend work, except as required from time to time;

  • Must be reliable & trustworthy and very importantly, punctual;

  • Must be available for an immediate start;

  • Must be available every day between now and 14th Feb (except statutory public holidays;

  • The successful candidate will be required to advise us of any pre-existing medical conditions that may hinder or prevent them from carrying out any part of their job, even on an irregular basis;

  • Must be willing to attend an ‘observation shift’ – this is an unpaid observation of the job one morning (at 6am) just to get a feel for what the job is about;
